Since 1948, Kurtz Bros., Inc. has been a pioneer in caring for Ohio’s environment and natural resources. Using specialized techniques in resource management and sustainability, Kurtz Bros. produces the finest topsoils, mulches and composts for the landscape and construction industries, as well as waste-to-resource solutions, storm water management, demolition, fill and recycling services for industrial applications statewide. A family-owned company, Kurtz Bros. has diversified over the years—through both organic growth and acquisitions—and today operates eight divisions at seven offices and retail facilities in NE Ohio and three in Columbus.
As the Company grew, adding new locations and employees, they struggled to manage their apparel and marketing collateral, and turned to Shamrock to help streamline the process. Shamrock helped create a line of branded apparel for employees at all levels, from retail and corporate to field operations. Shamrock manages 1,200 various items, including design, production, inventory and distribution—providing Kurtz Bros. with simplified, more efficient management at an added cost savings.
Another priority for Kurtz Bros. was customer care. Kurtz Bros. has always focused on building relationships and maintaining personal connections with their customers is very important to them. We worked together to design a customized customer appreciation box that housed discount coupons and service collateral. These branded cardboard boxes were hand-delivered by Kurtz Bros. customers—and they garnered an exceptional response: The Company saw a 30% increase in sales following the campaign.
