WIC (Women, Infants and Children) is a federal nutrition program that works to prevent and improve nutrition-related health problems by offering healthy supplemental foods, nutrition services, breastfeeding support and referrals to eligible women, infants and children under age 5. The NW Pennsylvania WIC (NW PA WIC) program serves individuals in Crawford, Warren and Clarion counties, in partnership with Meadville Medical Center.
With more participants looking to connect with the agency via digital channels, NW PA WIC needed its own website presence. Beyond a clean design and warm, welcoming feel, the new website and social media needed to engage with the audience and make it easy for busy parents to quickly access the information they need.
Based on NW PA WIC’s unique needs, Shamrock designed and launched the new website. The site provides educational, relevant information in a convenient, easy-access format, from how to apply and schedule appointments to breastfeeding essentials and nutritional tips. Bold, clean graphics are engaging and inclusive, reflecting the agency’s approachable brand.
We also updated the NW PA WIC social channels to reflect the new branding and created a take-one card to promote the new digital sites. To further help reinforce the NW PA WIC brand, Shamrock also designed pull-up banners and a tent for use at county fairs and other local events, helping bring the brand to the community and build awareness.
